Finally President Muhammadu Buhari has ended his last international collaboration missions as Nigeria president, meanwhile he returns to Abuja from The United Kingdom missions after the successful missions 16th May 2023.

Godswill Akpabio from Akwa Ibom, has defeated his only rival, Abdulaziz Yari from Zamfara State. Before the contest, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume had nominated Akpabio, while Senator Elisha Abbo nominated Yari. Yari’s nomination, however, did not go down well with Senator Tahir Mungono, who noted that Yari’s nomination was unconstitutional. Mungono’s stance however led to a rowdy session before the Clerk of the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, who presided over the session, ruled the Borno lawmaker out of order, saying he will only rely on Order 3 of the Senate Standing Rules to elect the President of the Senate. Akpabio polled 63 votes to defeat Yari. Yari polled 45. A senator-elect abstained
'I came back intact' - Virgin corper boasts after service year A 20-year-old Nigerian, Justina Dauda who recently finished her National Youth Service Corps programme, has praised herself for completing her service year a virgin. Justina took to her Facebook account on Thursday to disclose this. She said that those who mocked her were sources of strength to see her survive the service year intact. She said, "Diary of the virgin corper 2023. I came, I saw and I'm coming back home intact. Those who mocked me gave me the strength to come back home intact. The 20-year-old corper is here to say thank you, Lord. “Dedicating this special day to the Taraba State University Department of political science and international relations class of 2021.
